Before you leave for Alberta you have to stop by any Autoplan broker's office and change the territory on your policy to Territory 'Z' (Out-of-province territory). This is the most expensive territory, however if you do not do this consider your policy void. After you change the territory your insurance is good until the expiry date. However you still have to comply with Alberta's rules, and those rules state a vehicle entering the province must be registered there within 30 days of entering the province. Failure to do so means you can be charged for having an improperly registered vehicle.
