I hope you obtained his or her Drivers License number but just as important if not more so, did you get the State and Vehicle License number. If you did, you should be able to go to that Department Of Motor Vehicles with the license number and obtain their insurance carrier. If they are a state that requires insurance, and I think all 50 States do now, the owner of the Vehicle has to specify on their Vehicle License application as to who their insurance is with.
Second words of wisdom: Always call the Police for an accident, no matter how minor. They might not like it if it is minor but you can insist that they make out an accident report. Good Luck.

You should give the Information to your own insurance company and let them do this. They have ways to find the guy that you don’t have. Besides, You paid them for protection, let them protect you.
