Most “standard” homeowners policies have a boat & boat trailer (combined) limit of $1,000. You will have to check your policy form (not the declarations page) under the contents section noted “special limits of liability”. Also, there could be an additional limitation of coverage if it was outside & not in an enclosed structure.
Your homeowners deductible apply if damage is covered.
Best thing to do is to buy a boat policy, it gives the best coverage for boats. It is not the intent of homeowners policies to cover boats that is why the coverage is so limited.
boat LIABILTY is usually included on a standard home policy up to a certain limit…this does NOT cover damage to the boat!!! Even then it is only on a boat up to a certain length and horsepower depending on your policy. you would have to have the boat insured on a BOAT policy. so “NO” its not covered
No. Any vehicle that is capable of being insured on it’s own is not covered under Home Owners insurance.
