What Do I Do If I Need To Drive The Motorcycle To Get Insurance Before I Can Get My License In Kansas?

i have to get insurance on the bike before i can register it, then i need to register the bike before the riding class/license people will give me a M class license. I live in kansas and just wondered how i could find out about the rules or if someone knew them. Basically just need to know how i am suppose to drive the bike to the insurance and tag office without a license and if i do get pulled over for no tag on the bike ect, if the cop should be understanding or what to do. thanks

  1. well you can buy the insurance on line
but if you bought the motorcycle new your temp tags will cover you for 30 days for a license.
if you take the BRC in Hutchinson community collage they will license you with out getting a permit for about $180 its a weekend course

  3. It’s called a trailer, if you actually need the bike there. The bike shouldn’t have to be present to obtain tags and insurance. If you are caught driving without tags or a license, they can impound the bike and fine you.
Also, you do not need a license to insure a bike.

  5. You can’t ride without a registration and plates.
You shouldn’t ride without a license.
Take the car, get it done, then ride.
You get pulled over, you’re screwed.

  7. Unless you are a pretty, dumb looking girl who can talk your way out of it using ignorance as an excuse, I would recommend a bicycle until you get all the stuff needed to ride a motorcycle legally.

  9. I am from Olathe, cops are not understanding. You will get a ticket for driving w/out insurance, tag, and m/c license. I would walk or hitch a ride at least until you get insurance. Remeber, no insurance on the vehicle is $300 ticket.
