Whats The Average Motorcycle Insurance Cost For An 18 Year Old Guy?

depends entirely on your level of coverage, but on that bike, with GOOD personal injury/uninsured motorist coverage, and only liability on teh bike itself, you can’t be looking at more than $500/year.
this is assuming you don’t have multiple tickets and accidents to inflate your rates.
my advice to you is to only carry liability on your bike. No offense, but it’s probably only worth a couple grand, unless you got a brand new model… So if you crash it, and you’re at fault, just expect to buy a new bike, rather than paying a $500 deductible, and having your rates skyrocket.
get GOOD injury protection. you need to protect YOU more than the bike. $300k in un-insured/under-insured motorist coverage doesn’t inflate your rates that much.
your rate should also go down every year you ride incident-free.

  1. There are a lot of factors to consider, what type of bike do you have / want to get, sport bikes will cost you a lot especially if it’s new. Most insurance companies will insist on full coverage for a new bike, also where you live is a factor. I think your best bet would be do some research. I live in NY and have State Farm and I’ve never found a company that can bet my policy and I have full coverage on my bike which is a ‘04 Road King. I now pay roughly $500, but I’m also 48 and a woman, 20 yrs. ago my same insurance policy was roughly $1,200.

  3. It depends on a variety of things, such as when you got your G and M liciences as well as your previous driving record. I suggest you look online for some insurance quotes, but I must warn you that it will probably be a ridiculous sum of money. I have a 450 Honda Rebel, and the insurance for me as a 19 year old female is ridiculous.

  7. It depends on your location and driving record along with alot of other things. You should get an online quote as your best bet. My guess would be around $500-$800 a year for decent coverage.
