  1. Ouch, I use progressive. If you want cheaper insurance consider a slower bike, that would be strongly recommended for a new rider anyway.

  3. My son rides an R6. He got his best deal from Progressive. Where you live is going to be a factor in what you pay as well as being a man under 27 yrs old on a performance bike. You will save some by taking the BRC course, and the experienced rider course.

  5. First off that’s not a good bike to start on. PLEASE look into what others have said here and other places on the web about good bikes to start out on! And a riders course is not enough to prepare you for that bike. Research this, think with your brain and not with your eyes and heart!
At 18 how are you ever going to be able to afford that kind of insurance! I literally dropped my jaw when I saw what you were quoted. I pay $79.00/year for my SV650. That’s only liability though. But I’m okay with that because my bike out the door was cheaper than what you’ll be paying for in 10 months for insurance alone!

  7. I checked around and got the best quote from Geico. I had farmers before that, and Geico beat them by $100 a year. It went from $400 to 300.

  9. Progressive and lose the yzf r6s, your young and they are gonna break it off in you.
