Instead Of Buying Auto Insurance Is There A Way To Just Have A Savings Account Just For $coverages?
So all US states require all cars on the road to have insurance … since insurance is just dollars put asside for release in the event of emergencies or other pre-determined event … why cant I just put $100,000 into a bank account and call it my auto liability account and have my car insured with the state under my name providing that I don’t touch those funds?

What Do We Need To Know? Buying A Boat.?
We found a jon boat on Craig’s List for about $1500. We’re of course going to try to get them down on the price, but I have a feeling that there may be additional expenses (insurance?) that we aren’t considering. The boat comes with the following:
5 hp Briggs & Stratton OB Motor, (used less than 5 hours) w/1 hp Sears trolling motor & new battery, Eagle fish finder, swivel seats, anchor & spare tire. Includes 1995 Long Trailer.
The only problem with the boat is that it’s older so the plywood will need to be replaced and the swivel seats (fine for now) will probably also need to go at some point.
What other expenses do we need to consider?

I’m thinking about buying a 52″ Sunseeker houseboat, and have some questions that I would really appreciate if you guys could answer for me.
First the boat is moored in a different state.
What is the average cost to have to boat moved to my location?
What is the insurance like to cover the boat?
What are the other average fees? (hooking up to electricity and water, etc per month)
Finally, the boat is in fresh water now, and will be put in salt water if I decide to buy. How hard is the transfer on the boat?Any other helpful advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

What Paperwork Should I Get From A Private Seller When Buying A Boat And Trailer In Connecticut.?
About to buy my first boat and trailer from a private seller in Connecticut. It will be a small center console, under 3000 pounds for both boat and trailer. What paperwork should we fill out? Do I need a separate bill of sale for both boat and trailer? What do I need to take to the dmv in order to register both? Looking for input from people who have gone through this before.
Also is insurance required on either the boat or trailer in Connecticut?
Already have the safe boating / PWO certificate and all info on saftey equipment, just looking for info on registering.

I want to buy a boat. I live in connecticut and i don’t know very much about buying boats. I plan on buying a boat from a private party and I don’t know what paper work I need. Do I need a boaters license if the boat is under a certain horsepower? and is it required to have insurance on the boat. I plan on just using this boat for fishing once or twice a week.
