How Do I Quit My 6figure Job To Go Back To Ky To Enjoy Life Again?

I grew up a country boy that not too many people wanted. I worked the farms with a few other guys in the same boat until I was 18 and joined the Navy 15 years ago. My retirement is set, my bills are paid and I own land back there on the river. I’m only 34 and all I think about is living my life on that river in peace and happiness. Settle down with a little cutie, lay in my hammock and watch the water go by with a yellow lab nearby.
I’m a vet so insurance is covered if I have trouble finding work. Can somebody talk some sense in me?

Want To Buy Life Insurance But Will It Cover Motorcycle Accidents?

My husband has a motorcycle. Just bought it. I would like to take out a life insurance policy so I can afford our home or his funeral if someone texting on their cell phone kills him.
Do most life insurance policies include motorcycle exclusions or increase premium if you own motorcycle. I do NOT want to end up with an invalid policy.

Is A Life Insurance Lump Sum Payout An “asset” Or “income”?

I will shortly be receiving about $20,000 in a lump sum life insurance payout. My question asks if this money is considered an “asset” or “income”. The way I look at it, it is an ASSET.
Here is my problem. I am on disability. Now I have already checked with the Social Security Administration and they told me my life insurance payout will not affect my disability check. However, I also am on Food Stamps and something called Section 8, which is a Housing Subsidy Program, where the government pays a portion of your rent, based on your income. I also am on Medicare and Medicaid. Now all of these things say to ‘report any INCOME immediately’ as it will affect the amount of benefit you receive. I haven’t asked the Food Stamp people yet or the Housing Subsidy Organization until I gather more information. They may regard a life insurance payout as “income”, I don’t know. But I don’t see how you could look upon it as income. The way I define income is a recurring regular paycheck, salary, or money. Life Insurance is not like that. It is an asset. So if you want a strict interpretation, I see a life insurance payout coming to me as an asset and not income and need not be reported. What do you think? People who have ever been in this boat before are most encouraged to reply, or people who have a very good knowledge of life insurance and how it relates to various state and government entitlement programs such as those I have mentioned. Also, I am wondering if there are any legal loopholes to be able to take this money and not have it affect the other things I am receiving. It has me concerned, as I obviously don’t want to get into any trouble, nor do I want to do anything foolish either. I am just looking for knowledge on the subject. Thanks.

I Finally Took Charge Of My Life And Started Birth Control. How Do I Tell My Parents?

I’ve suffered from really bad cramps and nausea from my period since high school- to the point where I’d be taken out of the school in a wheelchair during an ‘episode’. I’ve been taking advil for years, but their effectiveness has lowered- so much that I take 2 every 4 hours and still suffer from moderate cramping on them. I’ve heard that birth controls can reduce these symptoms, so I won’t miss college classes or crew practice anymore.(During our spring training, I actually got kicked out of the boat for the week because I had one of my ‘episodes’ in the boat). I went to my physician and secretly got a prescription, but it’ll show up on my insurance bill- that my parents pay. I can’t afford the pills without insurance. I’ve tried discussing it before with my mother, but she got upset and ended up yelling at me that I “didn’t need drugs to solve all my problems” and stormed off. How do I tell her?

Would You Rather Be Dead, Or Abused For The Rest Of Your Life?

We have two pit bulls. When we retire, we are traveling in an rv & pits, and several other breeds are not allowed, no matter how sweet they are. We’ve been trying to find homes for them, but it looks pretty bleak.
I have consulted our veterinarian, who put me in touch with someone. She said that she’s had 3 friendly pits on the pit adoption website for 2 years. She advised me to put them down.
I’ve found a pit adoption website myself who have so many who weren’t abused as mine were before I got them. They aren’t being adopted because either your home owner’s insurance will skyrocket or be cancelled. The people who want pits want them for all the wrong reasons. One wanted one for a warehouse guard dog. From my experience people who have guard dogs starve & abuse them to make them mean, as they do for fighting dogs. Someone else wanted one to hunt hogs. She has all of her dogs in cages outside & only brings them out to hunt. If I can’t find someone who will treat them as pets, I’d rather put them down.
Footnote: we can’t afford to stay in this house after we retire. The rv is not really a choice.

Are Life Insurance Policies Designed To Pay Double The Coverage In Case Of An Accident?

I heard it somewhere that if the death benefit is X dollars and the person dies from an auto accident, a fall from a boat or gets killed while walking a dog — The insurance companies pay double the coverage. I think it is insane. I have a $5 bet that it is incorrect. Please answer.

What Other Types Of Insurance Do You Have Besides Homeowners, Auto, Health, And Life?

I just bought a house and I’m about to get married. I’m thinking I should have some kind of insurance that could pay the mortgage should I ever become unable to work since I am the main breadwinner and there’s no way my soon to be husband could pay all the bills himself. He could probably hack it without the mortgage payment, that would be the killer. Anyone in the same boat? What kind of insurance is the best for this, disability or mortgage insurance?
