Do Auto Insurance Companies Receive Money For Taking Older Vehicles Off The Road?
Auto insurance companies seem to total older cars whether or not they are in great condition. This made me wonder whether auto insurance companies get paid by the state or whoever to total older cars.

Mixing Money And Family….help!?
my fiance wants to get a boat with his brother. his brother currently has a boat that my fiance broke. the insurance company paid to fix it. now he’s trading the boat in for a new boat. my fiance thinks that since he broke the boat he should give his brother half of what the trade-in value is. which means that we would be paying for more than half of the new boat. financing is not a problem. we will each have our own loans. the problem is, i think that we should only be responsible for paying half of it since the insurance company took care of the problems on the old boat. my fiance’s name is not on the old boat, which makes him not responsible for it, legally. i know that if the situation were reversed, his brother wouldn’t be paying for our boat.
getting our own boat isn’t an option, as we couldn’t afford it. getting a smaller one isn’t an option either b/c they compete in off-shore tournaments that require a large boat.
who’s right in this situation? any advice?

Who Else Feels That Businesses Have No Business Giving Money To Politicians?
I feel that one of the major problems hurting the American people is that businesses can effectivelly bully laws that help their individual business at the cost of hurting the American taxpayer as a whole.
If politicians recieve no money from businesses, big or small, then they can make a more logical decision without having to fear that in the next election they might not have enough money to win re-election because all politicians will be in the same boat.
Some examples of businesses that have recieved sweet deals from congress at cost to the taxpayer:
Drug Companies
Insurance/HMOs
Gas/Oil Companies
Lenders/Banking/Credit Card Companies
I feel we need to take back the power from these companies that they have used against us. This is OUR country.
