what are all the things I have to consider for my budget? Is the insurance expensive? How much does it cost to keep the boat in a marina? Do i need a licence for a sailboat? I see people with their sailboat on a trailer behind their car, how do they put the boat in the water? How do they put the boat back on the trailer when they’re done? All of this is totally new for me but I need to own a sailboat!

Would You Sign This Lease? What Should We Do?
We really like this house and the landlords are super strict (like 26 pg. contract) We noticed in the contract that we have to give access to the landlords realtor and clients to show, whether we are home or not. We are uncomfortable with that. We want to rent the home for like 2 yrs. on a lease. Then we would really love to buy it. They want to sell now but market value isn’t what they want. So I thought it would suit us both, except the part of the contract that says that they will be showing it. I don’t mind leasing but I want to be here for awhile and eventually own it. I have a bad feeling about leasing it and them selling it, we would have to move again. We explained to them that we have two kids and want to stay here, raise our family. Also, it says that if a natural or unexpected disaster were to happen, we would be responsible for repairs. Isn’t that what homeowners insurance is for? Why us? Also they are not allowing us to park our rv in the driveway. Are they allowed to tell us what property we are allowed to have there? Please help us before we sign this! Any suggestions are appreciated!

Would You Rather Be Dead, Or Abused For The Rest Of Your Life?
We have two pit bulls. When we retire, we are traveling in an rv & pits, and several other breeds are not allowed, no matter how sweet they are. We’ve been trying to find homes for them, but it looks pretty bleak.
I have consulted our veterinarian, who put me in touch with someone. She said that she’s had 3 friendly pits on the pit adoption website for 2 years. She advised me to put them down.
I’ve found a pit adoption website myself who have so many who weren’t abused as mine were before I got them. They aren’t being adopted because either your home owner’s insurance will skyrocket or be cancelled. The people who want pits want them for all the wrong reasons. One wanted one for a warehouse guard dog. From my experience people who have guard dogs starve & abuse them to make them mean, as they do for fighting dogs. Someone else wanted one to hunt hogs. She has all of her dogs in cages outside & only brings them out to hunt. If I can’t find someone who will treat them as pets, I’d rather put them down.
Footnote: we can’t afford to stay in this house after we retire. The rv is not really a choice.
